The Value of Community Involvement

I was recently interviewed by ASTD on the value of belonging to a community of peers through chapter involvement and the value of belonging both to the national association and the local chapter. I've written and spoken about this subject previously here, here, and here.

Take a look at my comments in the two short clips below (30 and 50 seconds each) and let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

Halelly, your testimonials were great! I think it is a clear indication of the Metro DC chapter of ASTD's ability to recruit exceptional leaders as Presidents. You, along with Kathy Reiffenstein, have been interviewed for ASTD videos because of your incredible leadership, your demonstrated contributions to the entire association, and your outstanding results at the local chapter level. Congrats, and job well done!

Thank you kindly, Sardek. I'm in good company, that's for sure. Glad to be among all the fabulous past presidents of our excellent chapter, including yourself.
