Halelly has been selected to serve on the 2013 ASTD Leaders Conference Program Advisory Committee (ALC PAC) - the committee responsible for producing the annual ASTD Leaders Conference in Crystal City, Va. In June 2012, Halelly was invited to serve as a field editor for ASTD Links, the twice-monthly newsletter for association members, specializing in 'Consulting' topics. In 2012 and again for 2013, Halelly is co-leading the CBODN OD (Organization Development) Book Club.
Halelly is Past President of the Board of Directors for the Metro DC Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) where she served between 2005-2010. In 2010, as Past President, she provided strategic leadership to this award-winning professional association chapter as well as mentored its President, President-Elect, and Directors. In 2008 and 2009, she served as President-Elect and President, respectively, and guided the chapter as part of the Executive Committee. In her 2007 Director of Programs role, Halelly planned and produced the chapter's monthly events, from speaker acquisition to management of venue and hospitality logistics, to event promotion and production. In her 2005-2006 role as Director of Communications, Halelly wrote, edited and managed the weekly eFlash news bulletins and the quarterly The Torch newsletters, as well as performed the Webmaster role for the organization and coordinated other communication efforts for the chapter.
Halelly expertise is sought after in the community. She served as a Judge of the Apollo Awards in 2009 and 2010, which celebrate excellence in employee development within companies of all sizes in the Metropolitan Washington, DC, area. She also was actively involved in the Northern Virginia Association for Psychological Type (APT) in 2006-7 as a member of the steering committee, helping to determine speakers and topics for the organization's events. Halelly is also a member of CBODN, the leading Organization Development Network in the area.
